As Campaign Co-Chair with my wife for a local county United Way, I became painfully aware of the lack of knowledge most people had in regards to their finances.
Many of them are hard working people, trying to get ahead, working their tails off, but they just do not know what they do not know. I decided to do something about it.
Why not start a radio show, pro bono, that can just help people? I pitched this show idea to the owners and group of WVLP 98.3 in Valparaiso, Indiana. Why WVLP? WVLP is a small, non-profit radio station with a big heart and has always tried to help our Community in a number of ways throughout the past few decades. I thought what a perfect venue to start. A free show, giving free advice, free interviews, for the betterment of others.The hosts, guests, engineers and owners of this broadcast are all volunteers who get paid no money for their services. We are strictly here to help add value to your daily lives when it comes to all Money Matters. Novel thought, right?
